Harry and Meghan outside Windsor Castle

This weekend the big royal wedding will be taking place right here on our doorstep in Windsor. Preparations are well underway and the streets of Windsor town are adorned with Union Jack Flags lining the wedding procession route leading up to Windsor Castle.

As Meghan Markle braces herself to becoming the newest member of the royal family and the British way of life that accompanies it, we thought we’d take a look at some of the key aspects of life she’ll need to adapt to and how these relate to promotional merchandise.

Bring a Brolley…always!promotional umbrella

Heralding from Los Angeles, a city suffering drought and record low rainfall, Meghan may be in for a shock over here where rain is never far away and an umbrella should always be kept at hand. It’s even looking like it may rain as Prince Harry and Meghan tie the knot! With functionality being one of the top reasons people keep promotional products and rain being inevitable umbrellas are one of the most useful merchandise items you can gift, at least in the U.K anyway.

Time for TeaBranded Mug

We don’t know if Meghan Markle likes the taste of our national drink but tea is an essential part of the British way of life. Whilst traditionally it’s drinking from a teacup, 88% of Brits now exclusively drink their tea out of mugs. This might explain why we’ve seen so many royal wedding memorabilia mugs in the shops opposite Windsor castle. Whilst our Cambridge mugs don’t come with the couples faces on, they can be printed with your logo instead. Mugs can be used both as promotional giveaways or internally for your own workforce, everybody uses mugs!

We Love CheeseBranded Cheese Board

The royals love their cheese, so much so both Queen Elizabeth II and HRH Charles, the Prince of Wales, both granted Royal Warrants to their favourite cheese shop. The Royals aren’t the only Brits to love their cheese however with 98% of British households buying it! With all this cheese being eaten it’s no wonder the Cheeseboard has become a staple of most kitchens and almost a ritual over the Christmas period. We wonder if anyone will buy Prince Harry and Meghan one as a wedding gift? Our Chop and Cheeseboard is perfect for a high-end corporate gift, with its high perceived value and luxury design, it’s certainly a keeper when it comes to promotional merchandise gifts.

We’re really excited about the royal wedding and can’t wait for the happy couples big day! If you want any of the products mentioned printed with your logo, or any of our other items, then get in touch today for a FREE quote.
