Brandelity Is Carbon Neutral

2021 sees Climate Change back on the agenda.

Climate Change was a topic dominating the headlines before the Covid19 Pandemic. As vaccination programs roll out across the world and with the UN Climate Change Conference taking place in the UK this year, this issue is once again coming to the forefront. Companies are taking their CSR very seriously. Here at Brandelity we have always strived to be at the forefront of this movement to a more sustainable future. Coop 21 Climate WhiteWe favour promotional products that are reusable, made from recycled materials, use organic fabrics or replace the need for items made from single-use plastics. Many companies in our industry promote low-cost, single-use plastic promotional products with no real use or purpose. If these companies are the problem, we want to position ourselves as the solution. Products that serve a purpose whilst remaining “on brand” and effective as a marketing tool.

However at Brandelity we believe it is important to practice what you preach, and we work hard to make sure we too are a responsible, environmentally conscious company. One of the ways we do this is to ensure we are Carbon Neutral.

What is a Carbon Neutral company? How can you become one?

Carbon Neutral (or Net Zero Carbon) is a term used when the carbon emissions caused by a person/company have been balanced out by funding an equivalent amount of carbon savings elsewhere in the world. “Being carbon neutral means that you, or the operations of your business, emit the same amount of carbon dioxide into the atmosphere that you offset by some other means.” [Source:CNET] Becoming Carbon Neutral is a pledge being taking by some of the biggest companies in the world; companies such as Amazon, Starbucks and Apple to name a few.

Cert Offsetting

Brandelity has been Carbon Neutral since 2019. We’ve partnered with the wonderful CO2Balance to calculate our carbon emissions and the fund projects in Africa to ensure that the amount of Carbon our company omits is offset. For the year 2021 to 2022, our contribution has funded the Improved Cookstone Project in Kenya. This is a project that not only benefits the environment, as it requires 50% less fuel to be burnt that with traditional cooking apparatus, but improves the lives of Kenyans falling ill to household air pollution from burning biomass fuels. We get to contribute to a worthy cause whilst improving the CSR of our company.
