PECT encourages the shift to a Circular Economy by using RPET bags with a circular story.
Across Peterborough, PECT is delivering a pilot behaviour change project which aims to increase the recycling rates of residents living in flat blocks. This is part of a wider project called BLUEPRINT to a Circular Economy, funded by the European Regional Development Fund via the Interreg France (Channel) England programme.
Since it was founded in 1993, PECT has been delivering innovative projects of local, regional and national significance, that enable a sustainable future.
This particular project, called the BLUEPRINT project, aims to facilitate the transition to a circular economy, with partners working hard to enable this change across England and France. The team at PECT are delivering a flat recycling pilot scheme across Peterborough, which aims to increase recycling rates by making recycling more convenient for flat block residents. PECT found that many flat block residents can find recycling inconvenient. Instead of having to carry their recycling bin back up after finishing at the bin store, it’s much easier to take everything down on their way out.
One of the measures that the PECT team are trialling, involves a recycling on-the-go bag that can fold away into a handbag or pocket on residents’ way out of the flat. This aims to make recycling a lot more convenient, particularly for residents living on the top floor.
Brandelity focuses on products that are responsible and sustainable and we’re honoured to work with companies like PECT on projects like this. Feeding into the circular economy, our Gotta Lotta Bag is made from 190T rPET (100% recycled post-consumer plastic bottles). It’s a great choice for those who are environmentally conscious and was the perfect item for this recycling scheme. It has a large print area and the RPET bag folds up and fits into a pouch, making it easy to transport.
Depending on the type of branding chosen, these bags are available from just 100 units. They’re durable and a good size, allowing you to transport a large number of items. They have a long life span and have a tag highlighting their recycled content.
