Founded in 2013 by David Katz and Shaun Frankson in Vancouver, Plastic Bank® has been the visionary force behind the pioneering concept of social plastic®. It’s a powerful initiative aimed at addressing environmental and social issues simultaneously. The benefits of using social plastic® include cleaning up beaches, removing plastics from waterways and repurposing materials that would otherwise end up in landfills. Those who collect discarded and washed-up plastic from beaches can exchange this waste for basic family necessities, such as food, clothing and more.
